What is social study?




Social studies is the study of individuals, communities, systems, culture groups and their interactions across time and place. It is one of least prescriptive subjects. Meaning it allow teachers to focus what students are interested in and having more freedom of wanted they wanted to teach
The purpose of social studies is to give students the knowledge and the skills, and to become active and informed citizen of society who can think critically, understand, and explain perspectives of other people and communities to make better decisions and communicate effectly .
